Terms & Conditions (11+ Group Sessions)

MRS BC’S TUTOR ROOM: TERMS & CONDITIONS

Group tuition at Mrs BC’s Tutor Room / External Premises.

General

1. Payment of Fees: Group tuition is payable in advance, in blocks of sessions. A place in the group is only confirmed once full payment has been received. Fees are non-transferable between children or groups.

2. Refunds and Cancellations: In line with the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel your booking and receive a full refund within 14 calendar days of making your initial payment. If tuition starts within this 14-day period, and you have agreed to begin, you acknowledge that you will lose your right to a full refund once sessions have been attended. After the 14-day period has expired, no refunds will be issued for any reason.

3. Missed Sessions: No refunds, reschedules or credits are given for missed sessions, whatever the reason. This is because group sessions continue as planned for all students. All printable documents used during the missed session can either be emailed to you or printed and available for pick-up when your child attends the next session.

4. Tutor Cancellations: If Mrs BC’s Tutor Room has to cancel a group session, an alternative date will be offered. If this is not possible, the missed session will be refunded or credited.

5. Conduct and Expectations: Students are expected to arrive on time and ready to learn. Respectful behaviour towards the tutor and other students is essential. Parents are responsible for ensuring that children are collected promptly at the end of sessions.

6. Acceptance of Terms: By enrolling your child in group tuition, you are confirming that you have read and accepted these Terms and Conditions.

Privacy and data protection

The information stored by Mrs BC's Tutor Room is in accordance with the Data Protection Act and the General Data Protection Regulation, or GDPR (2018).
I only collect information that I need.
I keep this information secure and confidential.
I ensure that all information is relevant and up to date.
I will only hold information as long as you/your child are using my services – I may request via email or text that I be allowed to keep your telephone number.
You will not receive regular emailed newsletters from MBTR unless you have specifically signed up for them.
You can see the information that I hold about you on request.
You have the right to request correction or deletion of your data at any time, subject to legal or safeguarding obligations.
Photographs of any work that the tutee has produced or of any workshop, mock examination or group session may be used on my website (www.mrsbctutoring.com ) or on my Facebook pages (https://www.facebook.com/mrsbc1/ or https://www.facebook.com/groups/westmids11plus or for any marketing purpose across other social media pages, extending also to printed or video media if applicable. Any details or full, uncovered images of the tutee will not be included unless previously agreed.
Should YOU wish to take a screenshot of any of Mrs BC’s Tutor Room publications to use publicly for yourself, you should not alter that image in any manner or distort the original message.
It has become apparent that people have used images of teachers in a manner that is harmful and and/or illegal. I do not give permission for my face, body, any image of my person or for any recording or clip of my voice to be used on social media, or in any other digital media or printed material. This extends to, but is not limited to, using any image of mine to be taken wholly or partially and inserted into another video/meme/background. I will seek legal advice if any of this is not adhered to, no matter how long after the initial event. Please understand that this is to protect my own reputation as well as insisting upon the highest levels of safeguarding for the children I am tutoring.
