AUTUMN 23 Y6 11+/SATs Online Group

Service Description

2 intensive pre-11+ sessions, followed by 6 weeks of continuing support for higher attainers / SATs preparation. Maximum 8 students in session. This will be a purposeful and proactive ongoing group which will initially focus on understanding the whole group's needs, before branching off into learning age-appropriate methods for answering questions and problem-solving according to the requirements of GL 11+ exams (also appropriate for local independent school entry). Autumn 1 sessions are currently anticipated to run as follows (although may be subject to change according to the needs of the group) Sessions will run on Wednesdays from 7.15 pm, for 45 minutes per session. Session 1: 6th September 2023 Intensive 11+ Prep** Session 2: 13th September 2023 Intensive 11+ Prep** (FINAL SESSION) **If you would prefer a greater number of individual sessions on the run-up to the Grammar school entry test, please book any ad-hoc 1:1 sessions that show availability. Session 3: 20th September 2023 English Comprehension - Finding the evidence in a text - skimming and scanning skills, and the difference between them. Session 4: 27th September 2023 English Comprehension - Answering 1-mark questions (SATs). Session 5: 4th October 2023 Maths - Place Value, Addition and Subtraction Techniques. Session 6: 11th October 2023 Maths - How to present your evidence when asked. Session 7: 18th October 2023 Grammar - Word classes. Session 8: 25th October 2023 Punctuation - Different sentence types, main and relative clauses. Sessions delivered via Zoom. Meeting entry details will be sent once payment has been made. You will receive a confirmation email that payment has been made. Please await a later email which will detail your personal Zoom meeting details for your chosen appointment slot. Missed sessions are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled.

Cancelation Policy

Up to 24 hours in advance: Sessions can be cancelled for a full refund up to 24 hours in advance. Less than 24 hours in advance: If cancelled between 12-24 hours in advance, sessions will be refunded at 50% of the fee paid (eg. a refund of £20 would be given for an original session fee of £40) If cancelled between 6-12 hours in advance, sessions will be refunded at 25% of the fee paid (eg. a refund of £10 would be given for an original session fee of £40) No refunds are issued under the following circumstances: a) The session is cancelled with less than 6 hours' notice. b) The session was originally booked only 6 or less hours in advance.
